Abstract:
With the help of two surface modification methods (atmospheric plasma and flame treatment) WPC materials (wood-polymer composites) were functionalized at their surfaces in order to coat them with water-based paints for use as facade elements. To evaluate this modification procedures, surface sensitive analytic methods were used and set in relation to the coating quality of these materials with special coating systems.
