Paper "Microgels with electrostatically controlled molecular affinity to direct morphogenesis" published
The new paper Microgels With Electrostatically Controlled Molecular Affinity to Direct Morphogenesis by Sebastian Kühn, Valentina Magno, Ralf Zimmermann, Yanuar Dwi Putra Limasale, Passant Atallah, Aukha Stoppa, Max J. Männel, Julian Thiele, Jens Friedrichs, Uwe Freudenberg and Carsten Werner presents a biomaterial precision toolbox to modulate signaling gradients and guide development in tissue cultures. Spatial and temporal gradient control is achieved using sulfated glycosaminoglycan-based microgels (µGUIDEs) with electrostatically tunable morphogen affinity for tailored release. Individual µGUIDEs act as artificial signaling centers, locally directing vascular morphogenesis with high resolution. The paper was published in Advanced Materials. DOI: 10.1002/adma.202409731
