The IPF was highly visible at the 12th World Biomaterials Congress in Daegu, South Korea (May 26-31, 2024), the largest global gathering of biomaterial researchers, with over 4000 participants from 62 countries. Three embedded symposia were organized by IPF researchers ("Synthetic Protein-Complexing Hydrogel Materials to Direct Cell Fate", "Biomaterials-Based Platforms for Tumor Tissue Engineering", "Advanced Hemocompatible Coatings"); progress of recent work at IPF was reported in five lectures and seven poster presentations. Verena Kast's poster on "A Tumour-Engineered Platform of Pancreatic Cancer" and Vaidehi Londhe's poster on "Understanding the Biomolecular Corona Formation at the Nano-Bio Interface" received Best Poster Presentation Awards. Congratulations to Verena and Vaidehi!
