Carsten Werner appointed member to the National Academy of Science and Engineering
Congratulations to Carsten Werner on his recent appointment as a member to the National Academy of Science and Engineering - acatech. The Academy provides policymakers and society with independent, evidence-based advice that is in the public interest and by doing so aims to promote sustainable growth through innovation. acatech’s members are prominent scientists from the fields of engineering, the natural sciences and medicine, as well as the humanities and social sciences who collaborate on projects with external experts from science and industry, as well as participate in the Academy’s topic networks, where technical issues relating to the technological sciences and more general technology policy questions are discussed. acatech is mandated by the Federal Government of Germany and the Federal States to provide effective structures for the science-based discussion of strategic technology issues.
