Public transport

By train

There are numerous direct connections with major German and European cities. The institute is quite near the main railway station Dresden-Hauptbahnhof. (Five minutes walk from the Southern exit 'Bayrische Straße' of Dresden-Hauptbahnhof: Leave the railway station to the right and follow Bayrische Straße and Hohe Straße)

By bus

Long distance bus routes from numerous German towns run by different companies. The bus stop Dresden-Hauptbahnhof, Bayrische Straße is a 5 minutes walk from the institute (map)

Car

If you use a navigation system in your car, please make sure to insert the right address 'Hohe Strasse 6, 01069 Dresden' (There is another Hohe Straße in a recently incorporated suburb of Dresden with the ZIP code 01156, which might cause confusion!)

If you come from Frankfurt/Main, Hannover or Munich:

	Intersection Dresden-West Change from Autobahn A4 to Autobahn A17.
	Exit Dresden-Südvorstadt Leave the highway and join the B170 . Follow the signs to 'Zentrum' down Bergstraße/Fritz-Löffler-Straße until the
	Main Railway Station When you see the railroad bridge in front, turn left into
	Bayrische Straße Now straight until the end of the road. Turn left into
	Hohe Straße The institute's entrance is the first building on the right side.

If you come from Berlin or Poland you reach Dresden on Autobahn A4 via Bautzen or A 13 from Berlin:

	Exit Dresden Hellerau (81) Leave the highway and join the B170 . Follow the road signs to 'Zentrum' and 'Hauptbahnhof' until the
	Main Railway Station (at your right) After the railroad bridge turn right into
	Bayrische Straße Now straight until the end of the road. Turn left into
	Hohe Straße The institute's entrance is the first building on the right side.
