An electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) from the company LabArchive has been successfully tested (after comprehensive suitability testing of products from various suppliers) since the beginning of 2021 at the IPF Institute of Biofunctional Polymer Materials in routine operation with the involvement of all laboratories and employees for the complete documentation of scientific work. IPF Institute of Biofunctional Polymer Materials will immediately make the use of the ELN mandatory after the conclusion of the necessary company agreement.

After completion of a trial of this system at the IPF Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, which has been ongoing since fall 2021, a decision on the mandatory use of ELN as a documentation platform in other scientific organizational units of the IPF will be made in early 2022.
