In the training and professional promotion of young scientists, comprehensive supervision and advice ensure that the rules of good scientific practice are taught and consistently observed at every academic career stage.

A doctoral agreement is drawn up. For all doctoral candidates, a Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC) consisting of the supervisor and at least one other (complementary) group leader will be established, as it is already obligatory for doctoral candidates participating in the structured graduate programs of the TU Dresden. The TAC meets at least once a year, evaluates the progress of the work on the basis of a written report as well as a presentation, advises on technical and organizational questions, and also ensures the safeguarding and publication of all results in accordance with the principles of the GSP.
