Dresden Summer School 2024: Discover Advanced Materials at HTWD, IFW and IPF, September 9th-13th, 2024
From September 09th to 11th, 2024, twenty students from HTW Dresden, TU Dresden, TU Chemnitz, and CTU Prague embarked on an immersive journey into cutting-edge material science at the Dresden Summer School 2024, hosted by the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF). The students gained insights and practical experience into the creation and analysis of a broad range of smart materials as, for example, DNA-origami to assemble tiny machines, carbohydrate materials to program human regeneration, electrically conductive and biologically active materials to treat neurodegenerative diseases and extreme lightweight composites for the automotive and aircraft industries. The Advanced Materials Summer School 2024, a collaborative effort by HTW Dresden, the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research (IFW) and IPF was a great success and inspired and enriched the students.
