HTWDD, IPF and IFW: DISCOVER ADVANCED MATERIALS AT DRESDEN SUMMER SCHOOL 2024 from 9th-13th September, 2024

The Advanced Materials Summer School is a collaborative effort by esteemed institutions: Dresden University of Applied Sciences (HTWD), the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden (IPF), and the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research (IFW).

During the summer school, students will gain insight into the application-oriented polymer research at IPF. This will cover materials used in construction, health, information technology, as well as the sustainability aspects of (polymer) research. The following topics:

  • Exploring Smart Materials and Nanomaterials
  • How to Program Human Regeneration
  • Combatting Bacteria with Molecular Swords
  • Creating Lightweight Composites: from Tailored Fiber Spinning to Extreme Lightweight Parts

will be explained by scientists of IPF in lectures and practical courses in specialized labs of IPF from Tuesday 10th of September to Wednesday 11th of September. Moreover, contributions from HTWD and IFW will complete the program.
