Abstract:
Subject of this project was the cooperation with DataPhysics Instruments during the development of a novel measuring system for streaming potential measurements, basically by test measurements of components and prototype of the new device. Furthermore we performed an investigation of the influence of surface properties (wettability, roughness, porosity, chemical or topographical heterogenity) and of the composition and purity of the electrolyte solution on the measured zeta potential values. These studies are expected to improve comprehension and acceptance of electrokinetic measurements.
